A leader in both academia and media, Dr. Martínez brings a powerful voice to conversations about identity, justice, and representation. Film Screening and Discussion: When Olive Trees Weep
Event Name: When Olive Trees Weep Event Locator: 2025-AATBBM Event State: Confirmed Organization: Office of Diversity Join the Office of Diversity for the first installment of the Palestine Film Series, a yearlong exploration of stories from Palestine through the lens of film. We begin with a screening of When Olive Trees Weep, a documentary that centers the lived experiences of Palestinians under occupation, particularly the enduring trauma, resistance, and resilience of women and children. The film’s director will join the post-film discussion. There will be a reception with light refreshments outside of the theater at 5:00 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm. All are welcome.
