Event Name: Discovering Peace Within Event Locator: 2024-AASGPG Event State: Confirmed Organization: Gros Institute Utilizing the lessons of the psyche taught by depth psychology, Vanessa Jankowski will examine previous successful movements. As conflict tends to have two opposing forces, C.G. Jung taught a transcendent third must be achieved to create lasting peace. Through an experiential, artistic creation, participants will learn how to find the stabilizing transcendent third from identify the two essential components of a conflict. Discovering the symbols for change, change the personal as well as the world.

Event Name: Delta Sigma Pi Split the Pot Event Locator: 2024-AASLJZ Event State: Confirmed Organization: Student Engagement Delta Sigma Pi is going to hold a Split the Pot in the hallway of the Academic Science Building near Charlie's Place.  Students will pay $2 to spin the wheel and determinw how many tickets are added to the pot.  At the end of the day, Delta Sigma Pi will split the money raised with a random ticket selected.

Event Name: Spin and Total Body Strength Event State: Confirmed Organization: Recreation & Fitness Center Event Locator: 2024-AASJBJ Free group exercise class!  10 minutes of Indoor Cycling followed by 10 minutes of  Total Body Strength Training.  Drop in and out as you need.  No registration required.  All fitness levels welcome.  Come late, leave early, whatever your schedule allows!

Event Name: Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed Event Locator: 2024-AASGPJ Event State: Confirmed Organization: Gros Institute This event will take place in the Studio Theatre.  Presented by Annie Calhoun, students will use the theatre methods of Boal to invite improvised story telling around areas of social concern in their audience. The audience contributes and voices how the story should be shaped by the players.

Event Name: Power of Art Event Locator: 2024-AASGSD Event State: Confirmed Organization: Gros Institute King Moosa will dive into his background and highlight some obstacles and moments that led him to discovering art as a therapeutic tool and a vehicle for social change. He will touch on his work of mobilizing through the arts discussing the power that comes from one's ability to evoke emotion and ignite visions of a new world using different forms of art ranging from poetry and rap to visual art. The power of art is undeniable historically, and it is seen as one of the oldest forms of storytelling. Participants will leave knowing the power they possess as creatives! [
